When I graduated college, I moved to Houston, Texas with a 2-year plan to return to the Midwest. As you know, the best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry. Instead, I spent 13 years teaching science in a middle school and then spent 3 years as an instructional coach. A long drive north to see family convinced me that winter is the lesser of two evils. The other being so far away from family. Luckily, I found a job in Iowa.
Currently, I am the SAM at an elementary school in Davenport. I use my blog to reflect and share my journey with others. These are my own opinions and do not necessarily reflect those of my district.
